Personal Playlist Podcast
For their first big project, music production students had to identify 3-4 songs they wanted to share in a podcast format. Students then wrote and record brief voice-overs introducing their songs. Finally, they had to include original intro/outro music using tools available in Logic Pro including loops and software instruments.
In this project, students demonstrated:
- Familiarity with basic functions in a digital audio workstation, including importing audio files, split/trim feature, arming tracks for recording, and recording using the iMac microphone.
- Ability to bounce final projects to an MP3 file- the format we will be using for the entirety of this class’s projects.
- Basic artistic skills in digital music utilizing Apple’s loop library and software instruments.
