Announcements, Week of 9/19/2022:

Preview of Champions Exhibition CANCELLED/Family and Friends Performance: Due to a combination of anticipated scheduling issues and uncertain transportation, this Saturday’s performance at Ramona High School has been cancelled. In lieu of this, we are having a Saturday morning rehearsal 8am-12pm to learn more of our show content followed by a Family and Friends Showcase and Potluck at 12:30pm in the stadium. Sections will be assigned food items in Google Classroom, and all family and friends of marching band students are encouraged to attend!

Announcements, Week of 8/29/2022:

Booster Elections: We are in the process of reactivating our boosters this year and we are in need of a new executive board! We are having elections on Tuesday at 6pm SHARP, in the band room. According to our bylaws, members who are eligible to vote and hold office must be an adult who fulfills one of these three requirements:

  • Be a parent or guardian of a current band/orchestra student at Cajon
  • Attended 3 booster meetings in the last 12 months
  • Helped with Booster Club authorized fundraisers or provided support to a department activity during the last 12 months

Student Council: We are restarting our student ASB club and will be holding student council elections on Wednesday at 3pm. The goal of the club is to promote the music department on campus, conduct schooltime fundraisers involving Cajon’s general student body, and to keep a pulse on what is happening in our music department.

We will be electing a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. We will also be appointing representatives for Concert Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Marching Band (representatives can also be council council members).

Week of 8/1/2022: Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the 2022-23 school year! We have plenty of exciting things planned for this school year between our band/orchestra programs and our new music production class! We start the year right off the bat for the Gold Star Regiment with 4 performances on the first day of school!
